Oregon State faculty members and research assistants conduct research in GIS and geographic information science in a number of departments throughout the university. These include the departments of Geosciences, Fisheries and Wildlife, Forest Engineering, Forest Science, Forest Resources, Bioresource Engineering, Civil Engineering, Agricultural and Resource Economics, Crop and Soil Science, and the College of Oceanic and Atmospheric Sciences.
