Established in August of 1998, Davey Jones' Locker is the laboratory of Dr. "Deepsea Dawn" Wright, Professor, College of Earth, Ocean, and Atmospheric Sciences, Oregon State University. The lab is located in 257 Wilkinson Hall (phone 541-737-8818), and dives into the following specialties:

marine and coastal geographic information systems (GISs), particularly spatial analysis, data modeling, data conversion, and metadata.

processing, production, visualization, and interpretation of seafloor maps based on multibeam bathymetry, sidescan sonar, towed camera imagery, and submersible observations.

web GIS (including coastal web atlases)
